LEARNING OBJECTIVE
- At the end of the lesson, students will be able to draw, or model shapes from the real world by using basic shapes. They will be able to identify the shapes used and use basic language to describe them.
A NOTE FOR THE TEACHER
- When teaching students how to compose shapes from the real world, try the following in your lesson:
- Remind them to look for basic shapes first.
- Encourage them to describe their thinking and work as they go, to familiarize them with vocabulary.
- Ask them regularly about how they achieved their result.
