- Toni Kroos came from a family with a history in sports.
- His father, Roland Kroos, was a former professional football coach who became a football coach.

- Growing up in a sports-loving family, Toni Kroos was an avid football enthusiast.
- As part of his school’s football team, Kroos spent most of his time playing football.
- Toni’s younger brother, Felix Kroos, is also a professional footballer.
- Kroos’ father served as a mentor figure for him in football.
- Kroos joined Greifswalder FC, a local football club, for whom he played until he was 17 years old.
BAYERN MUNICH AND BAYER LEVERKUSEN
- After his time with Greifswalder, he joined the youth team of Bayern Munich, making his on-field debut in September 2007.
- Kroos completely focused on his football training and minimized his efforts on academics.
- Committed to a rigorous training, Kroos’ efforts yielded good results which made him eligible to make a place in the senior team of Bayern Munich.
- Toni Kroos was the youngest player to have made it on the senior team of Bayern.
- Kroos also became a player in the team selected to compete in the UEFA Champions League in 2008.
- In January 2009, he joined Bayer Leverkusen to improve his skills and gain more experience.
- He made 13 appearances throughout the 2008-09 season, ending the season by scoring one goal.
- His performance significantly improved in the next season playing for Leverkusen.
- He scored goals in all five matches he played.
- He earned the title of Player of the Month award, both in December 2009 and January 2010.
- Kroos grew to be a greatly competitive player in the field, appearing in 33 matches in which he scored nine goals and registered a dozen assists.
- In the summer of 2010, on the expiration of his loan period with Bayern Leverkusen, Kroos was acquired back by Bayern Munich.
- He had an exceptional 2012–2013 season playing for Bayern Munich.
- In the first five matches of Bundesliga, Kroos netted four goals.

REAL MADRID
- In July 2014, Real Madrid officially announced that they signed Toni Kroos to their team until 2020.
- The official signing fee was not disclosed, but there were rumours that it was around 24 to 30 million Euros.
- Kroos made his debut for Real Madrid in a match against Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup on August 12, 2014.
- Real Madrid won that tournament.
- As one of Real Madrid’s midfielders, Kroos played a crucial role in his team’s 22 consecutive wins toward the end of the year.
- He also made a significant contribution for Real Madrid winning the 2014 FIFA Club World Cup.
- By the end of the tournament, he was selected in the UEFA Team of the Year and the FIFpro World XI team.
- In the 2015–2016 season, Real Madrid’s manager Zinedine Zidane supported and praised Kroos as he continued to be the team’s key midfield player.
- Real Madrid won the 2015–16 Champions League, which was Kroos’ second time winning the Champions League trophy.
- Kroos became the first German football player in history to have won two Champions League trophies playing for two different teams.
- On October 12, 2016, Kroos signed a new contract with Real Madrid which was further extended until 2022.
- By the end of the 2016-17 season, he was once again included in the FIFPro World XI and the UEFA Team of the Year.
- Kroos later assisted Real Madrid in defending their title in the 2016–17 Champions League.
- He became the first German player to win the Champions League trophy three times.
- During the 2017–18 UEFA Champions League, Kroos made twelve appearances.
NATIONAL TEAM
- Kroos’ outstanding performances earned him a place in the national German squad.
- An accurate display of his skills was when he scored five goals throughout the Under-17 World Cup tournament in 2007.
- By the end of the tournament, he was awarded with the Golden Ball, an award given to the best player of the tournament.
- In January 2010, he was officially selected to play on the senior national team for the 2010 World Cup.
- At 20 years old, he made his senior debut for Germany in 2010, and appeared in five major tournaments.
- Kroos helped Germany win the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
- He was voted to the All-Star Team, Dream Team, and German Player of the Year in the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
- At the 2016 UEFA European Football Championship, he was included in the Team of the Tournament.
PERSONAL LIFE
- Toni Kroos married his long-time girlfriend Jessica Farber on June 13, 2015.
- The couple has two sons and one daughter: Leon, Fin, and Amelie.
- Despite being one of the most celebrated and successful football players, Toni enjoys a private family life in their mansion in Mallorca, Spain.
