- Ronda Rousey qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens when she was 17. She was the youngest judoka in the entire Games.
- After Ronda Rousey became the first American woman to earn an Olympic medal in judo by winning bronze at the 2008 Summer Olympics, she started her professional career as a mixed martial artist in 2010.
