LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
- At the end of the lesson, students will be able to understand and use two-digit numbers. They will know how to construct and deconstruct these numbers.
A NOTE FOR THE TEACHER:
- When teaching two-digit numbers, keep the following in mind:
- Remind your students that two-digit numbers have their own place value, being tens and ones.
- Students will know how to count in sequence fluently, but it’s important to emphasize the structure of numbers as much as the numbers themselves.
- Students must be able to explain how they got to their answers clearly using the correct vocabulary.
